Baptism

1. Baptism is a sign of the acceptance of believers in Jesus as members of God’s family (vv 26-27)
   • Justification means that God totally accepts us and forgives us because of what Jesus did by his death on the cross when we trust in him
   • Adoption means that God legally makes us his children and accepts us into his family when we believe in Jesus
2. Baptism is a sign of the uniting of believers in Jesus as members of God’s family (vv 26-27)
   • The racial division of Jew and Greek
   • The social division of slave and free
   • The gender division of male and female
3. Baptism is a sign of the heritage of believers in Jesus as members of God’s family (vv 26-27)
