Colossians 3: 18-21

The family

1. A word to wives: submit to your husbands (v 18)
2. A word to husbands: love your wives (v 19)
3. Why is there no word here for single Christians?
• Singleness is good
• Singleness is a gift from God
• Singleness is a challenge
4. The place children should have in the church
5. The obedience children should give to their parents (v 20)
6. The nurture children should receive from their parents (v 21)
• By training them
• We’re to instruct or admonish our children
• Our training and admonition must be of the Lord
