Exodus 34: 1-14

The Lord is a jealous God

God is a God of love, God is a holy God, but he is also a jealous God.

His jealousy is for what is his by right.  Sinful jealousy is for what is not ours by right.

Worship belongs to God only - we are to have have no other gods before him.

Practical implications:

1. God wants your all, or he wants nothing - it's a covenant relationship
2. The Church must be all about God, not about people, meetings and organisation
3. This is the motivation and source of confidence for our ministry
