1 Corinthians 7: 1-24

Accept Your Calling

• Sex within marriage: - have it: vv 1-7
  1. with your spouse, only your spouse, and no-one but your spouse
  2. as an act of love and service to your spouse
  3. because your body belongs to your spouse
  4. so that you won’t be tempted to stray outside the marriage.
  
• Sex outside marriage – don’t have it: vv 8-9
  1. singleness is good
  2. but not if you are sexually active
  3. in which case get married if you can
  4. but struggle to remain sexually pure whether married or not.
  
• Divorce is a bad thing: vv 10-11
  1. so protect your marriage even in the good times
  2. and look out for the marriages of others as well.
  
• Accept your calling in life: vv12-24
  1. Use it for serving God, wherever it is.
