Missions

ELT is active in seeking to reach the nations for Christ.

In part we do this here in London where there are peoples from all nations. We also send missionaries to other countries and work with other churches and ministries in order to advance Christ's kingdom.

Namibia

Josh and Cathy Hooker (with AIM International) are working in Windhoek in Namibia. Josh teaches the Bible at the Namibia Evangelical School of Theology.

South Africa

Ray and Rebekah Brown are working in Durban with Christ Church, Glenwwod. Ray is involved in training Bible teachers and leading a new congregation on the university campus.

ELT also helps to support the work of the Christ Church Care Centre in Johannesburg, a hospice for street children. The director is Mike Sunker, minister of Christ Church in Hillbrow.

Burma (Myanmar)

Out pastor Ken Brownell has been travelling to Burma for a number of years in order to teach in theological schools and preach in churches. His particular emphasis is on training church leaders in expository preaching. The church also supports the church planting ministries of Henry Thet Thio in Hakka in the Chin State and Ngun Tlung in Mandalay. We also support the Andrew Orphanage in Yangon led by Lian Thang.
