ELT Baptist Church

Children and Youth

Sunday School

Sunday 11am - 12pm

Children attending our 10.30am service on Sundays usually stay in the service for about the first 30 minutes and then go out to the creche where they are looked after or Sunday School classes where they are taught by our dedicated team of volunteers. We hold all-age services every couple of months when the whole church family stays together, and the teaching, singing and praying is designed to be appropriate for all ages.

Youth Group (School Year 7 upwards)

Sunday evening 5 - 6:30pm

From age 14 onwards we encourage young people to stay in the morning service to hear the sermon, and then meet again on Sunday evenings at 5pm for a mixture of Bible teaching and social activities.

In the summer we go away together to Cumbria for a fantastic Christian youth holiday called Sedbergh (see Sedbergh Venture for more details).

KidZone (ages 5-11)

Thursday 4.30 - 6.00 pm

KidZone is our midweek group for children in Primary School. The children take part in a range of fun games and activities and a Bible Zone each week.  It costs £6 for half a term.  If you would like to register your child as a member of KidZone speak to one of the leaders and fill in the short membership form.  Sometimes we operate a waiting list.

Holiday Club (5-11)

Each summer we run a holiday club during the first or second week of the school holidays which usually caters for about 90 children from the church and from the local neighbourhood. The programme is packed full of fun and varied activities which revolve around a different story from the Bible each day. There is also an afternoon trip out for each age group, a family night event and a day at the seaside. We finish the week with a celebratory all-age service on the Sunday morning.
